Got another blue ribbon at the fair

New quilt in the making

Time for my next project to begin. I'm making a pirate quilt. I found some real cool water-looking fabric and s pirate themed fat quarter collection. For the design I've chosen to do it with the Storm at Sea block. I found all the fabric I need except for one more yard of a black fabric with little skeletons all over it. I fussy cut jolly rogers out of another fabric I found. I needed 44 of them cut 4 1/2 by 4 1/2. I barely got what I needed out of the fabric I had. For a 120 inch by 120 inch there'll be over a thousand pieces.

Outdoor chair cushions

I'm finally making the chair cushions I bought fabric for a year ago. The fabric was expensive but it has wonderful colorful flowers on it and bugs, too. We had flooding last year so I never got to it. They are square with a zippered gusset and piping. I hope to get them done this weekend.
